The Double Diamond D-D Wade Ranch is a traditional low profile wood post Afork wade with a traditional deep dish 4” cantle. Offered with a hard seat with or without a padded inlay for just enough padding for your seat bones, yet not compromising the ergonomically correct twist and a very comfortable contoured dish to the interior of the cantle of the hard seat. As hard seats go, this is an incredibly comfortable ride. We build the D-D Wade Ranch on the tree of your choice that has been double fiber glassed, reinforced points and horn, and the saddle is built with reinforcement as well. Standard features include a double round or square skirt open or closed in the rear, in plate double C rigging, wood post horn wrapped, Herman Oak heavier ounce leather, pre-twisted heavy constructed western fenders, your choice of stirrups, a rope strap, leather strings and leather conchos with rings, 3 latigo hangers, real shearling underside, and several colors of leather. Available in all the Steele tree fits for horses, mules, and donkeys, gaited, drafts, every equine. This saddle weighs 27 pounds and is short and minimalistic in design, close contact and light weight.
There are many ways to customize your saddle by adding options such as building your saddle with partial or all rough out, tooling, Jwatt hardware, hand carving, rawhide accents, and more. You can also design matching tack, rear cinch, britching, hooded stirrups and more.
Matching tack is available as well as a wonderful collection of technical saddle pads. Call us to talk about matching tack!
Base prices are for saddles built on a Steele Saddle Tree quarter horse or semi quarter horse tree. Should you choose to build your saddle on a specific custom fitted tree by Steele Saddle Tree (which includes fitting face to face or from afar and the time to evaluate videos and tracings to choose a fitted tree, and custom fitting guidance after you receive your saddle), add $100 to the price of each saddle.
