Warrantees:
With regards to our custom saddles, they are built on Steele Saddle Tree Company trees. They do offer their own warrantee for five year under “normal riding conditions”. So if your animal has stepped on, you drove over it, the horse had a bad fall with it, it was submerged in water, etc. that is not considered normal use. Steele will rebuild a tree for a certain fee you have such an unfortunate experience. Although it is highly unlikely, if your tree actually breaks, Steele will replace it at no charge to you.
Double Diamond’s Warrantee: note that leather is natural, and if you are an equestrian you are well aware of fencing and wire, and those crazy situations that animals get into, leaving scars on leather. Such is the high quality #1 leather that we use, although we hand pick each hide and, our saddles are not heavily tooled (an easy way to use second grade leather because the scars and scratches will not show), they will have small textures within the leather and the colors may vary slightly. However if you saddle arrives incorrectly built according to your order (which you signed off on before we submitted it as accepted), we are happy to ship it back to the shop to make it right at no cost to you. We are far more interested in your pleasure and satisfaction!
Returns: Double Diamond Saddles and tack are custom designed by you, and built on a specific tree. Therefore, your saddle cannot be returned. In all our years of building saddles, the request has never come up due to incorrect fit. However if for whatever reason you decide to sell your saddle, we are more than happy to consign it for you with a 20% consignment fee taken upon the sale. Since it is a custom fit, it takes the same amount of time to go through the fitting confirmation for selling a preloved saddle as it does building a new one, so that 20% covers the hours it takes to do so, paperwork, phone, shipping etc. Shipping your saddle to the shop offers the highest success rate of a resell! Changing your order: From the time your order is in process, there is three weeks for the tree to be built therefore a change in your saddle order is possible. One your saddle is being built, they will follow your order explicitly and it is too late to make changes typically. With regards to the tree, the day the tree order is submitted, your tree is in process. Should you need a change to your tree, you will be responsible to purchase the first tree and/or reorder again.
Cancellation of your order: it’s never happened thankfully! The tree cost will always be your cost if you cancel. Regarding your saddle order, if you notify us in less than 3 weeks from the order date, we will retain $500.00 of your deposit plus the cost of the tree. The remainder will be refunded to you via a check within ten working days.
