Double Diamond's Lightweight Western Trail/Dressage Saddles are a wonderful choice for the rider looking for a close contact, minimalistic pared down balanced, lightweight saddle. We can offer trees that fit your draft, gaited, mule or donkey, quarter, baroque and pony breeds . . . built with the multi-generational Steele Tree Company fiberglass wrapped tree. Our trail saddles are short in length, lightweight (22 lbs.), close contact with little to nothing between you and your animal, supple shaped leather fenders, are all built with quality Herman Oak leather, and made in Eastern USA. We offer our trail saddles with our famous 'no concussion narrow twist', suspended ground seat for all day riding touting an ergonomic narrow or medium twist seat, or choose our traditional padded seats, or our deep-dish hard seat with or without a padded inlay. Our lightweight trail westerns have a high, open channel front to back for spinal clearance and heat dispersion, several seat rise options, foam firmness choices, twist options, many rigging options, both English and Western, and dozens of extras to make your saddle your own. The Double Diamond Lightweight Western models sit on the back edge of the scapula/shoulder, not on it, to offer animals freedom to move properly and out of the restriction of long bars over the shoulders.
