Endurance: Lumiere
The Lumiere saddle is basically the TEK I with an incredibly comfortable PADDED seat jocky (the part under your thigh). It is our most pared down model weighing in at 13 pounds. You can build the Lumiere with a tall, medium or low pommel, a 3”, 4”, or 5", deep dish cantle with a roll over cantle, and suede or smooth seat leather. It is a single skirted saddle with skirting that is open in the rear for complete spinal clearance, plus 3 position adjustments of your stirrup leathers, English center fire adjustable rigging, Western adjustable center fire, and endurance stirrups. Lots of stainless-steel rings for gear. It can be built on Steele Saddle Trees for drafts, horses of all body styles, mules and donkeys, cob size, gaited . . . all equines. It’s a very pared down close contact, short, light, balanced endurance trail saddle with only the rigging between you and your animal. Many riders have added narrow trail or endurance knee roll Fenders, bucking rolls, tooling, rough out leather, and even our ergonomically correct hard seat with a padded inlay!
