The Woodard Trail saddle is a 22 pound single skirted close contact suspended seat saddle, perfect for those seeking a tree fit choice beyond semi and full quarter and lots of custom options. As a style, it boasts a slightly lean forward Woodard fork and a slightly lean forward pelican horn (there is another choice of horn too) and an open rear skirt. Standard options include a medium twist (the part between your legs) suspended no concussion seat for hours of pain free riding, a traditional padded medium twist, or a deep dish hard seat upgrade, a deep dish 4” cantle with a roll over binding, open rear or closed skirting (open means there is not leather on the spine from front to back), shearling or felt underside, no torque no break in biothane backed trail fenders with 3 adjustments for position as well as length. Rigging choices: double C in plate (which can be 3 point center fire if you use the rear D) or English center fire adjustable. Your choice of stirrups: endurance trail, wood western bell or angled aluminum. Lots of rings for gear, and strings. Perfect for the Western Dressage show ring as you can adjust your fenders to be underneath you, trail, a great training saddle and perfect for everyday riding. Base prices are for saddles built on a Steele Saddle Tree quarter horse or semi quarter horse tree. Should you choose to build your saddle on a specific custom fitted tree by Steele Saddle Tree (which includes fitting face to face or from afar and the time to evaluate videos and tracings to choose a fitted tree, and custom fitting guidance after you receive your saddle), add $100 to the price of each saddle.
