The Woodard Ranch saddle is built as 27 pounds, reinforced custom designed and treed working ranch saddle. You can choose to build it as a double round or square skirt, and choose an ergonomically correct hard seat (with a twist that eliminates that splayed out propane tank seat) with or without a padded inlay or traditional padded seat, pretwisted all leather fenders, a 4" deep dish cantle with either a pencil roll or cheyenne roll cantle binding, several rigging choices, and several stirrup choices. The Woodard is a short minimalistic designed saddle that has the heft to work minus the weight, and you can actually feel your animal without all the layers of unnecessary leather. The very best option is you can build the Woodard Ranch on dozens of different tree fits by Steel Tree Company for quarter horses, gaited, long ears, drafts, the Baroque and pony breeds...all equines. Gone are the frustrations of semi or full quarter horse trees as your only choices. As a style, it boasts a slightly lean forward Woodard fork and a slightly lean forward pelican horn (there is another choice of horn too). You can build your rear skirting to be either an open rear or closed skirting (open means there is not leather on the spine from front to back) and a completely open channel front to back so this saddle is completely off the spine. This is a close contact pared down working saddle, and can be decorated with lots of upgrades such as rough out, carving and tooling, rear cinches, and lots more. Perfect for the Western Dressage show ring, rugged ranch and trail, training, everyday riding and the show ring. The Woodard Ranch weighs 27 pounds.
